The Falcons last pick in the draft was a waste. Should they have grabbed an undrafted guy instead?

The pick: Keith Zinger, Tight End, 232nd overall

Their impact: Zinger had one catch during his time with the Falcons.

Who else was available that round?: Justin Forsett, Danny Amendola, David Hawthorne, Danny Woodhead were all available for the Falcons.

Forsett, Amendola, and Woodhead have all made solid contributions to several teams throughout the last ten years.

Again, none of these guys are the best at their respective positions, but they’ve been solid.

Hawthorne surprisingly racked up nearly 600 tackles during his career.

The hard part is breaking down who the Falcons would have taken instead.

Would they switch the pick?: Yes. Every time. Without a doubt.

Based on our picks above, the Falcons already have two receivers and a running back.

Why not focus on the defense and take Hawthorne instead?

He can replace Lofton in this hypothetical draft, and would likely have made a similar impact.
