The Falcons got more contributions from their second fifth rounder, but would they choose him again?

The pick: Kroy Biermann, Defensive End, 154th overall

Their impact: Biermann recorded 331 tackles, 23.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions during his career.

He spent all eight years of his career with the Falcons and was a solid rotational piece.

Biermann’s best season came in 2014 when he started 15 games and picked up 75 tackles.

Although he never made a Pro Bowl, he played a lot during his time with the team.

Who else was available that round?: The best player available in the entire fifth round was Carl Nicks, who went 10 picks after Biermann.

Nicks was a two-time Pro Bowler who won a Super Bowl with the Saints.

If he hadn’t developed a case of MRSA, he likely would have had a ten-fifteen year career in the league.

Although he only spent four years with the Saints, would you rather have a two-time All-Pro for four years or a rotational defender for eight?

Would they switch the pick?: Yes. Nicks was an absolute stud on the offensive line.

Although health issues ruined his career, he was one of the best offensive guards during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Biermann was solid for his role, but he was never considered a top-five player at his position.

Give me four years of All-Pro production every single time.
