The Falcons took a defensive back in the 5th; They just happened to take the wrong one.

The pick: Dominique Franks, Cornerback, 135th overall

Their impact: Franks played four years in Atlanta, but only had four starts.

Appearing in 32 games, he snagged 3 interceptions but was never an above-average defender.

He left the Falcons to join the Ravens for a year but retired afterward.

Who else was available that round?: Reshad Jones has six times the amount of interceptions as Franks.

He also has 677 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 96 starts.

Jones started in more games in his second year than Franks did during his entire career.

Would they switch the pick?: Yes.

Jones would be the pick every time, especially since he’s still an impactful defender.

Although we still have Thomas DeCoud and William Moore in these redrafts, Jones would still help the Falcons.
