The Falcons missed out on a Hall of Fame player in round 6. Who was it?

The pick: Shann Schillinger, Safety, 171st overall

Their impact: Schillinger recorded 19 tackles during his three years with Atlanta.

Although six round picks rarely make big impacts, the team missed out on a special player.

This isn’t meant as a knock on Schillinger, but the Falcons definitely screwed this one up.

Who else was available that round?: Antonio Brown is one of the best receivers in the NFL.

He is a lock for the Hall of Fame and has been one of the biggest success stories in recent memory.

Although he didn’t play much his rookie year, he recorded 1,108 yards during his sophomore campaign.

Brown has caught 733 passes for 9,910 yards and 59 touchdowns.

He has six 1,000 yard seasons and recorded three seasons with double-digit touchdowns.

It could be argued that he’s the best receiver in the NFL because he’s been so consistent over the last five years.

Would they switch the pick?: YES.

Of course. Without a doubt. 100%. Brown is one of the best players in the NFL.

Brown didn’t go until the 195th pick, so teams obviously passed on him multiple times, but he’s arguably the best player from this class.
