5. Craig Kimbrel Again Dominates in Atlanta

Craig Kimbrel is the best closer in baseball and is still only twenty-nine years old. Signing Kimbrel would be a great move for the Braves and would ensure their bullpen is better next season. Paired with Vizcaino and Minter the Braves last three innings would be in great hands.

Kimbrel has a career 302 saves and is the definition of a dominant closer. Bringing him back to Atlanta along with a position player addition would be the best case scenario in free agency for the Braves.

Craig Kimbrel much like McCann would be a former Brave who could provide stability and leadership. Unlike McCann, however, Kimbrel is still in the prime of his career and would fill a big hole on the Braves’ roster.

Kimbrel is currently pitching for the Boston Red Sox who would be the favorites to sign him considering their roster talent. Aside from the Red Sox, it would appear if they choose to chase him the Braves would have the second-best odds of landing the closer.
