After losing to Philly in the divisional round, the Falcons have a chance at revenge. Will they pull off the upset?

After defeating the Rams in the wild card round, some argued the Falcons could upset the Eagles.

That obviously didn’t work out, as Julio Jones let a pass go right through his hands.

As we all know, the Eagles ended up winning the Super Bowl.

During the offseason, the Eagles signed Mike Wallace, traded for Michael Bennett, and picked up Haloti Ngata.

Do the Falcons have a chance to pull off the upset this time? Let’s examine.

How the Falcons Win: The Falcons will need to utilize their pass rush if they want to pull off the upset.

If Vic Beasley and Takk McKinley can put pressure on the quarterback, it could allow the Falcons to win.

This will be tough though, as the Philadelphia offensive line is stacked.

Defensive Coordinator Marquand Manuel will need to pull out all the tricks to keep the Falcons in the game.

X-Factor of the Game: The Eagles Starting Quarterback.

Carson Wentz would have won the MVP award if he never tore his ACL.

He already had 33 touchdowns when we went down and was one of the best quarterbacks in the entire league last year.

His injury opened up the door for Nick Foles to win a Super Bowl, but is Wentz going to be ready for week one?

He’s stated that he wants to play in week one, but injuries can be tricky, especially ones to the knee.

It’ll be interesting to see who ends up taking the first snap, and it might determine the result of the game.

Predicted Scores: This will be the only game that gets two predictions.

With Wentz: Eagles win 31-21.

With Foles: Falcons win 24-20.

For the basis of this exercise though, we’ll assume that Wentz is healthy.

The Falcons start the season 0-1.
