Georgia Rookies Fit, Concerns and Predictions: Defense

The Bulldogs followed up a historic 2017 SEC championship season with an equally historic 2018 NFL draft. The rookies are ready to put a bitter season-ending loss to Alabama behind them with new teams and a new goal: winning a Super Bowl.

Nine Dawgs made the leap to the pros in April. Some will step into new roles and be expected to shine immediately; others will have to battle for their right to remain on their new teams after Training Camp.

College success doesn’t always indicate NFL success. The tales of college studs like Matt Leinart, Barkevious Mingo, and Trent Richardson serve as a caution to over-excited fans. Likewise, James Harrison, Tony Romo and Jason Peters went undrafted before making names for themselves in the NFL.
