The Falcons missed out on a Hall-of-Famer in round five. Who was it?

The pick: Jaquizz Rodgers, Running Back, 145th overall

Their impact: Rodgers played four years in Atlanta and appeared in 63 games.

He never received a lot of touches and only rushed for 1,000 yards over his four years.

His impact was minimal mostly due to opportunities rather than skills it seems.

Who else was available that round?: The guy who hates sorry receivers.

Richard Sherman has a big mouth but is one of the biggest steals in recent draft history.

He’s been to four Pro Bowls, he’s a Super Bowl champion, and 99 starts.

His impact is hard to put into words, as he’s typically shut down an entire half of the field.

With 32 interceptions since being drafted, he’s also been an outstanding play-maker for the Seattle Seahawks.

Even though he recently switched over to the 49ers, Sherman is one of the best Seahawks of all time.

Would they switch the pick?: OF COURSE.

Imagine Sherman on the Falcons and shutting down a side of the field?

It’s hard to believe he went in the fifth round, but the Falcons definitely dropped the ball here.
