Brad Hand || LHP – San Diego Padres

Currently sitting at 17-27, there’s no question that the San Diego Padres are having a rough season. On top of that, there’s no question that they’ll be looking to sell at this year’s trade deadline. Subsequently, this makes Brad Hand a decent option for the Braves to go and bargain for. Hand is arguably one of the best relief pitchers in the game.

A testament to that is Hand’s 2.45 ERA and 1.09 on the year. Both of these numbers would be an improvement on Atlanta’s current average. No doubt Hand would help Atlanta lock up a spot in this year’s playoffs.

He provides a veteran presence the Braves could rely on in a very youthful bullpen. Youthful and bullpen rarely go well together adding Hand could help to stabilize the Braves pen for the rest of the season.  Hand and the Padres are at the bottom of their division as well and unlikely to be demanding much for the reliever.
