The Atlanta Braves bullpen could use some help but that isn’t to say they haven’t had great relievers so far. Dan Winkler has been the best Braves’ reliever this season with an ERA of 0.98 and earning save chances soon.
Winkler will be given a shot at the closer role per manager Brian Snitker and with good reason considering the shutdown reliever he has been.
Another name Braves fans shouldn’t overlook is Shane Carle. Carle has had a 0.72 ERA so far and looked fantastic. Neither pitcher was expected to play a huge bullpen role coming into the season.
Watching both pitchers in the early going has been special. If they both can continue their current performances the Braves will likely only need to one more reliever to shore up the pen.
The Braves will take on the Miami Marlins this weekend as they try to take advantage of the lowly Fish. Plenty more to come as the MLB Trade Deadline closes in.
