Atlanta Falcons GM Makes it Clear Julio Jones Is Not on the Move

The Atlanta Falcons have continued to make it very clear Julio Jones will not be traded. Julio Jones caused a stir with social media changes. Changes that were due to a “fresh start” not a wish to leave Atlanta.
The Atlanta Falcon’s GM was asked about Julio Jones he continued to make it clear the organization and Julio are just fine. While the changes were odd they are not concerning. Julio Jones isn’t going anywhere. Thomas Dimitroff had this to say about Julio via ESPN:
“Julio and the organization are doing very well I’m not concerned one bit about any of the social media. I think we’re in a great spot. He had very good discussions with Dan [ Head Coach Dan Quinn]. And we’re in a great spot.”
For the Falcons and their fans, this is great news and seems to be the legitimate feeling. The Falcons would be crazy to even consider trading Jones even if he were to want a trade.
All signs point to Jones simply wanting a new contract and a fresh start on social media. He is an Atlanta Falcon and that will not be changing anytime soon.
Competing for a Super Bowl is the ultimate goal. If the Falcons were not Super Bowl contenders this story could have some legs.
But, the Falcons are looking to win a Super Bowl in front of their home fans and are top contenders in the NFC. No player is more important to their success than Julio Jones.
Jones is the best receiver in football and isn’t going anywhere. If the Falcons were to even consider moving Julio it would be laughable.
Julio Jones is an Atlanta Falcon for years to come. A star receiver the Falcons will rely on in 2018 to help their offense bounce back.
