With a 2-0 series lead, former Atlanta Hawk’s star Al Horford has a chance to do something he never has before, beat a Lebron James led team.  Horford is now with the Boston Celtics who looked poised to beat the King.

Lebron James ended the Atlanta Hawks team-first group of veterans. An expensive group of teammates who broke apart realizing the Hawks had no chance in a Lebron dominated Eastern conference.

Al Horford was the glue on every one of those Hawks teams. He spent his first nine years with the Hawks and his last two getting pummeled. Lebron James ended the Hawk’s nice run and Horford’s tenure with the Hawks.

Sure, you can point to Horford getting the money he wanted in Boston or the Hawks rebuild but the cause of them both? You have it, Lebron James.  Now it appears Al Horford may finally have a shot at revenge against Lebron James and the Cavs.

While it may be coming with the Boston Celtics it is still fun to watch for Hawk’s fans who remember Horford so fondly.

Horford has had a front-row seat to Lebron James’ Eastern Conference dominance watching good Hawks teams get bounced. Not only did they get bounced they were pummelled and knocked out in 4 games each time they face the Cavs.

Horford is showing off a far better game than any of his previous playoff runs. Leaving Atlanta fans wondering where this skill set was in his time with the Hawks?

Regardless, winning a ring or even just the Conference Finals is a long time coming for Al Horford who spent so much of his time and energy in Atlanta.

Could this finally be the year he advances to the Finals?  It looks promising but when Lebron James is on the other side of the court this series isn’t over just yet.
