5. The Atlanta Falcon’s receiving Unit Has to Play to Their Talent Level

Watching the Atlanta Falcons last season the most frustrating aspect to watch was the playcalling and the resulting receiver play. The Falcons have one of the best receiving units in football. Last season they let Matt Ryan down more than they should have.

Poorly run routes dropped passes, and misplaying balls that turn into picks were the glaring issues happening in 2017. Matt Ryan, of course, takes the blame but anyone watching the games knows just how many times the receivers let Matt down

Mohamed Sanu dropped the ball six times while Julio Jones led the team with seven drops. Those are scrub numbers, not numbers two of the better receivers in the League should be putting up.

This season the receiving unit must improve their catch rate and ability to finish plays. They have the ability to do just that as we saw in the 2016 season.

Matt Ryan may have been hurt by the poor receiver play but his play could take a step forward as well. He can play at an MVP level again.  If he does the rest of the League better look out because the Falcons will be Super Bowl bound!
