9. A Splashy Addition that Worked in Justin Upton

If the Atlanta Braves had only added one Upton brother fans may feel differently about Justin. Justin Upton came to Atlanta in a blockbuster deal to bring power to the lineup. Upton provided plenty of power but was a streaky hitter.

He spent two years in Atlanta and hit a combined 56 homers. While consistency may have eluded him his power was impressive.

He went on several memorable tears as well while in Atlanta. He would go from swinging at balls in the dirt to locking in on every pitch and hammering it.  The good streaks he did put together along with his talent have earned him a spot on the list.

Upton’s best season with Atlanta came in 2014 when he hit 29 homers, drove in over 100 runs, and hit .270 a great season from a good outfielder.

Upton has made several stops since then including a trip to Detriot and San Diego. He currently plays for the Angels and is still showing off his power. Power Braves’ fans should remember fondly.
