6. Martin Prado The Best Utility Player of The Last Decade

Martin Prado made his career with the Atlanta Braves. For those who don’t remember how great Prado has been let me refresh your memory. Prado had a 184 hit season with the Braves rarely striking out always putting the ball into play.

While hitting over .300 Prado would play any position the Braves asked him to move all around the infield and playing some outfield. Prado was the swiss army knife of the Braves teams he was a part of.

He turned his utility roles and chances into a starting job and became one of the best hitters in the Braves’ lineup. Prado may not be the flashy player who excites the fans but he had so many intangibles that helped the Braves win.

Prado is currently playing with the Miami Marlins. Since leaving the Braves Prado has struggled to look anything like the elite hitter he was at times with Atlanta.

The Braves could benefit from Prado’s leadership and bat in the lineup now. Could the Braves explore a reunion with Prado?
