Atlanta Braves Top Ten Position Players of the Last Decade
By Kit Anderson
5. Ender Inciarte Couldn’t Stop Getting on Base
Ender Inciarte is one of my favorite Braves’ outfielders of all-time. He isn’t Andruw Jones but he is elite in center field. Elite enough to be kept in a lineup even if he weren’t a good hitter.
Luckily, for the Atlanta Braves that isn’t a problem. Inciarte is coming off of a season where he racked up over 200 hits. Surpassing 200 hits is a milestone that should earn any player a spot on this list. Add in his great defense and Inciarte is one of the best Braves’ position players of the last decade.
He has hit .291 and .304 in his first two full seasons with the Braves and will be roaming center for a long time to come.
Inciarte has added some limited power to his game as well hitting 11 homers last season. Watching Inciarte play center field is my favorite part of the Braves’ defense now that the next member of our countdown has moved on to another team.
