4. Dansby Swanson Earns a spot on the List with Walk-off

I have watched the Braves for a large sample size now with and without Dansby Swanson this season. With Swanson, the bottom of the Braves lineup is productive and a threat to score. Without him, the bottom of the lineup strikes out and struggles.

Add in Swanson’s clutch hit to walk off the Braves yesterday and I am more than convince Swanson is what helps make this offense go. He may not be the flashy contributor that Freddie Freeman is but he is important.

Swanson is hitting .281 on the year and despite missing large amount of time is still 5th on the team in hits.  Without the huge expectations that were dumped on him last season Swanson is thriving and becoming an important part of the Braves roster.

With him, the Braves are a better team both on the field and at the plate. He makes their bench deeper and gives the Braves even more youthful energy. Let’s hope Dansby continues to prove his value with the Braves.
