The Atlanta Braves offense has found an ignitor in their second baseman Ozzie Albies. Albies is playing at a level we haven’t seen in recent Braves era. He is comparable to one former MVP.

Watching the Atlanta Braves this season one player in particular leaps off the screen. Ozzie Albies seems to show up in every single game. It doesn’t matter if he strikes out every time he comes to the plate he seems to find a way to do something to help the team.

More than not his way of helping the team is collecting hustle extra-base hits or knocking the ball out of the park. He reminds me of former MVP Jose Altuve. He has earned several comparisons to the Astro’s current second baseman.

They are accurate considering he hits for power and average while using his speed to torment and put the pressure on opposing defenses. Ozzie should be getting some early MVP consideration for his great start.

He leads his team in homers with (14) and is third in the National League in hits while leading in extra-base knocks. He is hitting lead-off and still driven in 34 runs while scoring 45 times. He is hitting .286 and has swiped 6 bases.

For Ozzie to have his name in MVP consideration all he has to do is keep doing exactly what he has for the first two months of 2018.

He has been the best infielder in the National League and brings an excitement and energy that can’t be measured in his stat line. The Braves are an exciting young roster who are led by Ozzie Albies.

Albies sets the tone for his offense and is deserving of MVP consideration. Ozzie should be an All-star and early MVP consideration. He is proving himself to be one of the best hitters not only on the Braves roster but in the National League.
