The Atlanta Braves are putting the rest of the National League on notice they are here to stay this season. Not only are they a contender for their own division but contenders for winning the National League.

Watching the Atlanta Braves this season it became very obvious this team is one of the best Braves teams of the last decade. We haven’t seen this much talent or postseason hope in a team since Chipper Jones decided to hang up his cleats.

This team reminds me of Chipper Jones early days with the Braves. A young core who was all about winning and surprising the rest of the League.

Led by Ozzie Albies, Nick Markakis, and Freddie Freeman the Braves offense is dangerous. Outside of the Chicago Cubs, I am not sure there is a more complete lineup in the League.

There certainly isn’t another team with this much youth and talent all in the same lineup. The Braves top three aforementioned hitters are top three in hits in the National League. All three should be all-stars and you could argue the Braves have more than three-all-stars.

A fact that points to the Braves being true postseason contenders this season. They are not simply a fun storyline. This team has the talent and ability to win in the upcoming postseason.

In a year that was supposed to finalize the rebuild, the Braves are proving to be one of the better teams in baseball.

Their offensive attack mixed with youthful pitching has helped them win this season and will keep them in the mix. The division will come down to a race between the Braves and Nationals two teams who have the clear best two rosters in their division.
