The Atlanta Falcons star receiver finally answered the off-season buzz that has been surrounding him. TMZ Sports caught up with Jones and asked the receiver about his off-season.

Julio Jones didn’t hesitate to say he wanted to be an Atlanta Falcon for life. Something Atlanta Falcons fans will be very happy to hear. The full TMZ video and story can be found here.

Jones went on in the video to say the rumors were a product of a slow off-season and the media needing a story. The Falcons and Jones are good and he is working hard to be ready for the season to come.

The reporter then asks Jones about Donald Trump’s comments about the new anthem policy to which Jones quickly pleads no knowledge of. The right move for an athlete who wants to stay out of a very sticky and heated debate.

Jones putting the contract and trade rumors to rest is a sigh of relief for all Falcon’s fans. The receiver is the best player on the Falcon’s roster and is likely to be with the team for the majority of his career.

Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are one of the best quarterback and receiver duos in the League. Don’t look for them to be broken up anytime soon.

Even with the knowledge that the Julio Jones rumors were likely simply off-season boredom after hearing Jones himself dispell them is relieving.

Jones skipping OTA’s after the off-season rumors surrounding him only fueled the fire. A fire Jones put out in his typical professional fashion though I still have my doubts as to whether or not he wants a new contract.

An updated contract would make sense for Jones considering how outdated it has become. Regardless, Julio is in Atlanta to stay for many years to come.
