3. Trade with the Fish and Bring Back a Familiar Face

Martin Prado is having a very rough season and just hit the disabled list with a hamstring injury. So why would the Braves have any interest?  With a weak bench and a need at third base, the team needs help and Prado is a familiar face.

Bringing Prado back would likely cost the Braves very little. With his struggles and injury history, the Braves should only entertain this trade if the Marlins are looking for a team to simply eat some salary.

If not, the Braves shouldn’t entertain an idea of a reunion with former fan favorite Prado. Watching Prado this season he looked uncomfortable at the plate and is starting to show some age.

A move back home to Atlanta might give Prado some of the youthful energy he had in his great seasons with the Braves.

He would be a great platoon option with Camargo and has the ability to play all different positions. Even if Camargo or Austin Riley were to claim the starting job adding a veteran like Prado to the bench would be a great decision for the Braves and their weak bench.
