1. Time to Send Nick Markakis to His First All-Star Game

I had to double check when I heard Nick hasn’t appeared in an All-Star game. While I was aware he was yet to make the team with the Braves it surprised me in all his good seasons with the Orioles he never made the team.

Now in his contract year, he is having arguably his best season yet with the Braves. His average is at a career-high sitting at .328 with a .392 OBP the highest percentage since 2008.  It is time to send Nick where he belongs.

He has earned a start in an All-Star game and the Braves faithful need to step up and reward his production by voting for their veteran leader.

Markakis has stayed at the top of the hits charts this season and is almost impossible to strikeout. He has earned a spot in the game and is deserving of the first time honor of a long and productive career.

Time to stuff those ballots Braves fans and send Nick Markakis to his first All-Star Game in 2018.
