Ryan has been well worth the money for the Falcons. He was the 2016 NFL MVP and led Atlanta to the Super Bowl. He also became the fastest QB to reach 40,000 career passing yards last season. He also helped Atlanta become the only 2016 NFC playoff team to return to the playoffs last season.

Ryan did regress in 2017, but was still one Julio Jones missed catch away from beating the soon-to-be Super Bowl Champion Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs. Atlanta addressed needs in the offseason, such as Guard, by bringing in Brandon Fusco, Tight End Logan Paulsen, and drafting explosive Wide Receiver Calvin Ridley from Alabama. The question at Defensive Tackle was also answered by drafting Deadrin Senat out of South Florida.

Matt Ryan has been making an impact for the Falcons since he stepped on the field for them in 2008. This was Ryan’s second $100+ million contract and he’s been worth every penny.
