1. Trade One- Send Kent Bazemore to Cleveland in Exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Kyle Korver

At first glance, this deal may seem confusing but there are several reasons it would work and be a good fit for both sides.

With this deal we are operating under the assumption Lebron opts to head to another team and Dan Gilbert attempts to build his own contender. We know that Cleveland has had interest in Bazemore in the past.

Clarkson and Korver are both on smaller contracts but running our proposed deal through the ESPN trade machine it works.

Why does it make sense for both sides you may ask? For the Hawks, they find two better fits for their current team Jordan Clarkson will be the perfect sixth man and isn’t used to starting like Kent Bazemore. Kyle Korver back in Atlanta would be a feel-good story and allow him the chance to teach up-and-coming three-point shooters Kevin Huerter and Trae Young a thing or two.

For the Cavs, this deal is simply about trading for a fresh face and a player in Clarkson who never looked comfortable in Cleveland and getting rid of more salary.  Clarkson is due $12 and $13-million over the next two years while Korver is making $7-million over the next two seasons.

Combined their contracts will be slightly more than Bazemore is making at $18 and then $19-million. Both teams would benefit from such a trade the Cavs would dump a bit of cap and get a better player.

The Hawks would have two contracts they might have an easier time dealing with in the future as well as providing better fits off the bench.
