2. The Hawks trade Kent Bazemore and DeAndre Bembry for Zach Randolph and Iman Shumpert

This was one of the more interesting scenarios we ran through ESPN Trade Machine successfully.  Bembry is irrelevant to the Hawks at this point and is put into the deal to make it work. The reason it works is centered around the other three players.

The Kings have Marvin Bagley to worry about integrating into their offense Zach’s limited playing time will be even less and his contract isn’t great. Taking on Randolph and Shumpert the Hawks would be paying them $11-Million each.

It would be more than Bazemore’s contract but both Randolph and Shumpert are on expiring contracts and would fit the Hawks better. For the Kings, they rid themselves of two bad contracts and have a better fit for their roster in Kent Bazemore.

Randolph is aging and Shumpert just isn’t very good. Adding Bazemore makes the Kings better in the short term and would help the Hawks focus on their youth adding two bench pieces. It is an interesting deal though since both contracts the Hawks would take on are expiring the Kings may not be interested in such a deal.
