5. Deal Bazemore’s contract for two expiring deals

The Atlanta Hawks could opt as I suggested before to take on more salary in the short term to get rid of Bazemore’s deal. In this proposed deal, the Suns would trade Tyson Chandler and Jared Dudley to the Hawks in exchange for Kent and Bembry who had to be included to make the finances work.

Chandler is due $13-Million and Dudley $9-Million next season. Bazemore would be a good fit with the young Sun’s roster and the Hawks would be rid of his contract after this season though they would pay more in the short term to Dudley and Chandler.

Both Dudley and Chandler are overpaid and are deals the Suns likely wouldn’t hesitate to move on from.

For the Hawks, this deal is my least favorite of the five considering it doesn’t add talent to their roster only expendable pieces they would likely move on from.

Dudley likely would be bought out and it is hard to see Chandler earning much playing time in either spot with the Hawks full at the center position and the Suns drafting Ayton with their top pick.
