4. Jacob deGrom

Jacob deGrom has to be one of the top pitchers, if not the top, heading into the Trade Deadline.  He has been amazing.  His precision, accuracy, command, and overall pitching ability is out of this world.  He is currently 5-4 on the year with a 1.79 (!!!) ERA.

He would be the ultimate acquisition for the Braves.  He is, however, 30-years-old but that should not stop the Braves from acquiring him.

All good things to say about him.  The problem is that the New York Mets are going to be asking for a lot.

We have a lot of prospects that we can give up, but it may not be worth it if we trade three to four prospects in exchange for a 30-year-old pitcher.

I still think the Braves should make a strong push for him.  He could help the starting rotation tremendously and most definitely propel the Braves into a postseason-made team.
