2. Pittsburgh Steelers

Just when you think that things will get easier, they won’t.  The two hardest games of this season both lie in the state of Pennsylvania.  With a completely different breed of talent in Pittsburgh, it will be another hard test for the Falcons in Week 5 of the regular season.

Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown are the “Killer B’s” of Pittsburgh, but the weapons do not stop there.  They also have JuJu Smith-Schuster to complement Antonio Brown, and they have a very talented Defense featuring Cameron Heyward, Bud Dupree, Stephon Tuitt, and a few others.  This is a loaded depth chart that can pummel a team on either side of the ball.

The Falcons will have four games and plenty of practices before this game as the season will be well underway, but how do the Falcons take down not only the Eagles but the Steelers as well?

Here’s how: we use a lot of either purely Zone Defense or Zone Blitzes.  Like the Falcons, the Steelers have elite weapons out wide and in the backfield and our defense cannot stay on top of Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell every play, despite how fast the Falcons’ defense is.

Therefore, Man-to-Man defense will not cut it.  Thus, Zone or Zone Blitzes may work perfectly in order to pressure Roethlisberger into making a lot of quick decisions.
