Atlanta Falcons: Their Five Toughest Games and How They Can Win Each One
3. at New Orleans Saints
This game will be nothing short of intense. It is a Thursday night, Thanksgiving evening showdown in New Orleans. It is always rowdy when it is the Falcons versus the Saints in New Orleans and I fully expect it to be the same this year.
This year, the Saints will be pushing for another Super Bowl run, especially after their heartbreaking loss to the Vikings last postseason. Come week 12, Mark Ingram will be 8 games out of his suspension and will be fully ready with Alvin Kamara in the backfield.
Also, Michael Thomas has always been great for the Saints ever since he was drafted back in 2016. In addition, the Saint’s defense last season was surprisingly very good. Marshon Lattimore had an impressive rookie season and will expand on that this season.
Cameron Jordan has also been a great Defensive End and is an expert at getting to the quarterback. Also, Drew Brees is one of the best QBs in the NFL and will have another great year this year.
The Falcons have fared well against them the past couple of seasons, but that does not mean that this will be easy. It is always tough in New Orleans. Furthermore, I think the Falcons will approach this game the same way they always have.
They always do a combination of different defensive schemes, but mostly favoring plays to combat Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. On offense, all the Falcons have to do is spread the ball around. The Saints see the Falcons twice a year and that means that if they learn what they do from the first game, then it is game over for the Falcons. Matt Ryan needs to spread the ball around, thus making him and the rest of the offense unpredictable.
