Were the Falcons able to bounce back in round five after two rough picks?

The Pick: Stansly Maponga, Defensive End, 153rd overall

Their Impact: Maponga only played two years in Atlanta and racked up 8 tackles.

His impact was minimal, which continued a string of bad picks for the Falcons.

Who Else Was Available That Round?: Ricky Wagner is a solid right tackle and was drafted 15 spots after Maponga.

Micah Hyde has been an All-Pro and has over 300 career tackles with the Packers and Bills.

Would the Falcons Change Their Pick?: Of course.

We added Travis Frederick to our offensive line earlier, so adding Hyde to our safety group seems like the smart choice here.

His career is definitely on the rise and he’ll likely only get better over the next few years.
