The Falcons took two safeties back-to-back in the 7th round. Would they keep both of them?

The Pick: Kemal Ishmael, Safety, 243rd overall

Their Impact: Ishmael has over 200 career tackles and is still on the Falcons roster.

He has 20 career starts, five interceptions, and was a solid 7th round choice.

Who Else Was Available That Round?: In this respective exercise, nobody. The Falcons had the next pick.

Would the Falcons Change Their Pick?: Although they don’t have the option, I think the Falcons would keep this pick. Ishmael has been a solid contributor.

The Pick: Zeke Motta, Safety, 244th overall

Their Impact: Motta played 10 games during his rookie year, and had 16 tackles.

His career ended shortly afterward.

Who Else Was Available That Round?: Daimion Stafford was drafted after Motta and is pretty much our only option here.

Stafford has over 100 career tackles, appeared in more than 50 games, and even made 8 starts.

Would the Falcons Change Their Pick?: Yes.

Stafford has to be the option here considering Motta’s lack of impact.
