The Atlanta Hawks offseason is nearly over, what are seven things we can expect to see from the club going forward?
Kent Bazemore Traded?
Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire, and there has certainly been a lot of smoke regarding trade discussions for Atlanta Hawks’ veteran swingman Kent Bazemore. Our Kit Anderson previously discussed the rumors here. The Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans, have long been interested suitors for the 3 & D wing.
Just recently reports have surfaced, that former Atlanta Hawks Coach Mike Budenholzer is also interested in trading for Kent Bazemore, a player he was quite fond of. We’re certain to hear more Bazemore rumors leading up to Hawks’ training camp. Kelly Ito of The Rockets Wire via USA Today, tweeted that the Bucks engaged the Hawks in preliminary trade discussions. He also stated that Bazemore would be willing to join a contender.
Source: Kent Bazemore’s list of suitors also includes Milwaukee, who recently contacted the Hawks but initial trade talks didn’t get very far. Kent loves Atlanta, but would be open to a move to HOU/MIL since he knows both coaches well and would be joining a contender.
