The Hawks Will Not Exercise The 5th Year Option for DeAndre Bembry

DeAndre Bembry just can’t seem to stay healthy. He’s only played in 64 of 164 possible regular season games, mostly due to injuries. He was extremely turnover prone last season. Bembry averaged a whopping 3.7 turnovers per 36 minutes. He also had an alarming turnover percentage of 24.8%.

If DeAndre isn’t careful he will find himself out of the rotation, or as a throw in trade piece. He must show the defense, passing, and basketball IQ, that the Hawks saw when they made him the 21st pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. I’m predicting the Atlanta Hawks, will pass on extending the 5th year option to DeAndre Bembry. Flip the page to see another reason why I think Bembry’s option won’t be picked up.
