The offseason has reached the quiet stage for the Atlanta Hawks. Yet there is noise about the future of Kent Bazemore. Here are 7 possible Baze trade scenarios.

Chasing A Championship

The Rockets are reportedly interested in swapping Forward Ryan Anderson for Kent Bazemore. The trade works under the cap, and the Atlanta Hawks have more wings than bigs on the roster. The issue, is Anderson has 2 years remaining on his deal like Bazemore, at a slightly higher salary.

Without salary relief, it’s all about compensation. Houston lacks young players with high potential. A late 1st round draft pick isn’t enough, without cap relief. Unless Houston gets a 3rd team involved, or offers 2 1st round picks, there may be a better deal elsewhere for the Atlanta Hawks.

The Deal:

Rockets receive: Kent Bazemore

Hawks receive: Ryan Anderson and 2 1st round draft picks

How it helps the Atlanta Hawks

This swap gives the Hawks 2 more future draft assets going forward, and allows the young wings to receive more playing time. Chris Guest of Soaring Down South wrote about Hawks and Rockets trade rumors here.
