Reunited

The latest reports around the NBA are that The Milwaukee Bucks are expressing interest in Kent Bazemore. A major factor of course, is the familiarity former Atlanta Hawks’, and current Milwaukee Bucks’ Head Coach Mike Budenholzer, has with Bazemore.

The Bucks are loaded at guard but don’t have a suitable backup small forward. The injury history of guard Eric Bledsoe, is also a factor in the Bucks interest in Baze. With the additions of Bledsoe and Donte DiVincenzo, it’s fair to wonder if former Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon is available.

It is unlikely that the Bucks would part with Brogdon. However, should the Bucks would be willing to part with young, athletic Thon Maker, Travis Schlenk might be intrigued. Especially if 20171st round pick DJ Wilson is also involved in the deal.

This would be a rare trade in which the Atlanta Hawks don’t receive a draft pick. At the same time, acquiring 2 young players with upside would suffice just as well. The Hawks would also part with former 1st round pick DeAndre Bembry. He could use a change of scenery.

The Trade

The Milwaukee Bucks receive G/F Kent Bazemore and F DeAndre Bembry
The Atlanta Hawks receive F Thon Maker, F DJ Wilson, and G Matthew Dellavedova

How it helps the Hawks

Balances the roster by trading wings for big men. Adds 2 young athletes for Coach Peirce to develop right away.
*Side note – The Fan Base would not take kind to Dellavedova from his days as a villian with the Cavs*
