What Could Have Been

@Memphis, Friday October 19th 2018, at 8PM EST

Prior to the 2018 NBA Draft, Jaren Jackson Jr. was projected to be drafted by the Atlanta Hawks, moreso than any other player. JJJ gave the Hawks a glimpse of what they were missing out on in summer league. Jackson knocked down eight three pointers during his debut summer league game in Utah. It will be fascinating to if he can come close to that when the bright lights of the regular season are on. All Rookie Team member John Collins will be given the task of slowing J³ down.

Though Collins vs Jackson Jr will certainly be the most interesting matchups of the game, there are other good battles to watch. A matchup of rookie phenom Trae Young vs grizzled veteran, Mike Conley Jr, (pun intended) will be most interesting as well. Dewayne Dedmon will attempt to slow down All Star Center Marc Gasol, who is returning from a season ending foot injury.

Taurean Prince will take on the long armed Kyle Anderson, who the Grizzlies signed away from the San Antonio Spurs. The rematch will take place at Phillips Arena on Wednesday, March 13th 2018, at 7:30 PM.
