Georgia Football: Five Things to Watch vs Austin Peay
Cornerback
Deandre Baker is locked in as one of the starting comebacks for the Georgia Bulldogs. He was chosen as a second team, CBS Sports preseason All American. The 5’11 185 Baker is projected to be a top 15 NFL draft picks next offseason.
The question is with junior Tyrique McGhee injured who plays opposite Baker? I previously pondered that question here. Freshman Tyson Campbell has impressed coaches in camp. He has the rare size that teams covet being 6’2, 185 pounds. Tyson is also said to be one of the fastest players on the entire team.
Sophomore Mark Webb has the prototypical size as well, measuring 6’1 and weighing 200 pounds. He was originally recruited to Georgia Football as a 4-star wide receiver. He switched over to defensive back last season, but didn’t garner much playing time. Seeing who starts, and gets the most snaps at cornerback early in this game, will be interesting.
