Atlanta Falcons Defense: – 3 Points

The Atlanta Falcons defense gave up 43 points to their hated rival New Orleans in overtime. They allowed an incomprehensible 534 yards to Drew Brees and company. If you started them you lost three points.

The Atlanta Falcons defense currently ranks number 28 among fantasy football defenses. The Dirty Birds are really banged up on the defensive side of the ball. Both safeties, Ricardo Allen, and Pro Bowl player Keanu Neal  are out for the season. Middle linebacker and captain Deion Jones is out for at least six more games.

With all of the injuries  it’s going to be difficult for Atlanta to stop NFL offenses consistently. At this point they don’t even warrant a roster spot. At least until Deion Jones returns.

Advice: Cut Atlanta Falcons Defense

Kicker – Matt Bryant: 3 points

The Atlanta Falcons red zone success over the past two games has hurt the fantasy success of kicker Matt Bryant. The fact the Atlanta Falcons converted two, two point conversions erased a couple of points that Bryant would have had.

Week Four Forecast

Matt Bryant ranks as the number 22 kicker in fantasy football right now, however the season is still young. Matt Bryant is typically among the fantasy kicking leader, and the Falcons can’t score on every drive.

Advice: Start Matt Bryant

Watch list candidate

Austin Hooper

Bye weeks are approaching and tight end is the most shallow position in all of fantasy football. Many owners don’t even have a backup TE worth holding a roster spot. With that said owners will be looking for streaming options when their starter is on a bye week.

Putting Austin Hooper on the watch list would be a good idea. He currently ranks as tight end number 13. He’s touchdown dependent, but depending on the matchup he could be a significant bye week streaming option.
