The Georgia football team logged its fifth victory of the season defeating Tennessee 38-12. Handing out helmet stickers in the shape of a bone for excellence, is a time-honored tradition for the Dawgs. Today we hand out bones to the top Dawgs from Saturday’s win.

Elijah Holyfield – Running Back

Elijah Holyfield is certainly making his father, former Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield proud. Elijah is the Georgia football team’s leading rusher on the season and that trend held against the volunteers.

Holyfield paced the Georgia Bulldogs dynamic running game, with 78 yards on a team high 16 carries. He had a respectable 4.9 yards per carry. He also added the longest run of any UGA back, a run of 16 yards.

Elijah got the Georgia Football offense ignited running for the team’s first two, first downs of the game. Another key run for Holyfield came on the Dawgs’ first drive of the second half. He converted a third and three with a seven yard run. UGA went on to score on the drive.

Elijah Holyfield’s biggest run came on the Bulldogs last drive. Elijah broke out for a 16 yard run to put the Georgia football team in the red zone. One play later, Georgia scored the touchdown that put the game out of reach.

The only downside to Holyfield’s afternoon was that he didn’t hit get into the end zone. Despite that fact he didn’t score, it was a good day for Holyfield. He was the top Dawg on the Georgia team that ran for a powerful 251 yards.
