2. Sean Newcomb Give Braves confidence he could play a big role this postseason

Sean Newcomb came out of the pen after Mike Foltynewicz’s disaster of a start and restored order. He pitched two scoreless innings with the moment not appearing to faze the young lefty whatsoever.

Newcomb had an up-and-down season but this scoreless outing had to give the Braves confidence in his ability.

The Braves will likely continue to use Sean out of the bullpen in this series. But if the Braves were to advance there is a reason to think he could earn a start in the next round

Newcomb’s ability to help the Braves this postseason will be huge to their success considering their lack of proven pitching. Two scoreless innings were encouraging for Newcomb and the Braves.

Encouraging enough to give Sean Newcomb more chances in this series to pitch meaningful innings as the Braves attempt to topple the giant that is the LA Dodgers.
