Calvin Ridley – Wide Receiver

Standard: 17.5 points PPR: 21.5 points

Rookie first round draft pick Calvin Ridley continued his rise to stardom last week, even though he matched his lowest catch total and put up his lowest yardage total of the last three weeks.

Ridley’s fantasy point total was boosted by the fact that he scored two touchdowns. One of the touchdowns came on a beautiful double move against fellow Alabama alumnus, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick.

Incredibly, Calvin Ridley leads the NFL in touchdown receptions. The most amazing thing is that lead comes after being shut out in week one. I assume the division rival Carolina Panthers are thinking twice about passing on Ridley for wide receiver DJ Moore.

Week Five Forecast

Week five sets up for Calvin Ridley, and the entire Atlanta Falcons passing game to have another big day through the air. The Pittsburgh Steelers defense, ranked number 30, is allowing the fourth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

Certainly the NFL’s touchdown receptions leader has taken advantage of the double teams his teammate Julio Jones draws weekly. Ridley has earned his way into lineups everywhere.
