Injury Issues

One of the few negatives for Georgia Football fans to be concerned about, is the amount of injuries that continue to pile up. The Dawgs got a real injury scare in the first quarter when left guard Solomon Kindley and center Lamont Gailliard both left the game injured on the same play.

Lamont Gailliard injured his hand and was replaced by freshman Trey Hill. Thankfully he was able to return to the game.

Unfortunately Solomon Kindley was unable to return. Trey Hill played left guard once Gailliard returned. The Dawgs averted disaster as USA Today Sports reports that Kindley’s knee injury isn’t serious.

There is a chance that Solomon Kindley could play Saturday at LSU, though it seems unlikely. Trey Hill will likely get the start. This would mean that the Bulldogs would be missing both starting guards, with right guard Ben Cleveland being out for several weeks. Both replacements would be freshmen.

The performance of the Georgia Bulldogs line despite the injuries, should provide hope for the next few games should Solomon Kindley miss multiple weeks. UGA certainly can’t afford any more injuries on the offensive line. Particularly the interior positions.
