The Atlanta Falcons successful competed step one of turning their season around, defeating Tampa Bay 34-29 in a thriller. Here are the players that played well, and the players that struggled.

Offensive Players That Played Well

Matt Ryan – Quarterback Grade: A

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan continued his phenomenal play completing 31 of 41 passes for 354 yards. Ryan threw three touchdown passes and zero interceptions against the NFL’s worse ranked defense.

Ryan has now thrown for 1393 yards and 12 touchdowns over his last four games without a single interception. He’s completed and incredible 72 percent of his passes over that span. Ryan also had a big 13 yard run to move the chains. Matt is playing at an MVP level, a lot like the 2016 season in which he was the NFL’s MVP.

Pro Football Focus gave Matt Ryan a grade of 86.5 for his week five performance. We at ATL All Day give him an A.

Julio Jones – Wide Receiver Grade: A

Julio Jones continued his career dominance over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday. Julio went off for 143 yards on ten catches. His biggest play was a 32 yard catch, and he consistently moved the chains all game. The only thing Jones failed to do was get his first touchdown of the season.

Pro Football focus graded Julio Jones‘ performance 85.3, second highest on the offense. Jones caught 10 of his 14 targets, gaining 59 of his 143 yards after the catch. Matt Ryan had a 112 quarterback rating when throwing to Julio Jones in the contest. Jones performance was certainly grade A.
