1. Bring Jacob deGrom to Atlanta as the Mets begin to Rebuild

Perhaps the most interesting name in trade rumors over the last year is Jacob deGrom. He is coming off of an amazing season that saw him keep his ERA under two while piling up strikeouts and eating innings.

In this scenario, the Mets are willing to part ways with a once in a generation type of pitcher. Something they may be willing to do as their team continues to age and prospects continue to underwhelm.

Jacob deGrom at the top of the Atlanta rotation would be an all-in move from an Atlanta front office that knows they still lack a frontline starter.

Getting one of the best pitchers in the League would certainly make the Braves favorites in the East. If they were able to add deGrom and a hitter the team would be primed to compete for the National League in 2019.
