3. Bring Power to the Atlanta Lineup with Khris Davis

The Oakland Athletics are ever changing and rebuilding. Plugging in new starters and trading those who become too expensive to keep. Khris Davis could potentially fit that description after a great season for the surprise Wildcard team.

For Atlanta, this move makes sense only if they are planning to move on from veteran Nick Markakis. Markakis was a glue guy in Atlanta who led by example.

But at his age, there is plenty of reason to be concerned how much longer Atlanta could count on his production.

Davis is a career .248 hitter who isn’t going to put the ball in play as consistently as the rest of the Atlanta lineup. Still, he is coming off of three 40+ home run seasons and would fill a power deficiency in Atlanta.
