Jake Fromm and the Georgia Bulldogs defeated their hated division rival with a 36-17 win over the Florida Gators. In the win, Fromm answered every question he had been facing all week long.

Should Jake Fromm be the Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback? Should the Dawgs turn the starting job over to electric freshman Justin Fields? These were questions the college football world and Bulldog faithful were asking after a loss to LSU.

Only a year after seeing a freshman in Jake Fromm lead them to a playoff berth and into the National Championship they still doubted his ability.

While Fromm needed to step up and improve his play, there was little reason to consider inserting a freshman despite Field’s talent.

Fromm did what he does best when facing pressure, exceed expectations and lead his team. After completing less than 50% of his passes the game before, and turning the ball over twice Fromm bounced back in a big way for Georgia.

Jake took care of the football making key throws including a beautiful touchdown pass to Terry Godwin to seal the game late.

He completed 70% of his passes and had a key rush for a first down. Fromm answered every question Georgia fans had about his play. Fromm is obviously the number one option for the Bulldogs and should be.

This isn’t to say the Bulldogs shouldn’t utilize Justin Fields, rather there should no longer be any question who is the starting quarterback in Athens.

Fromm has faced adversity before, bouncing back after a horrible loss to Auburn last season, and leading the Bulldogs in a comeback over the Sooners in the NCAA playoffs.
