1. Bring Back a Familiar Face and Some Stability Behind the Plate

Brian McCann is coming off of his worst statistical season hitting .212 and only hitting 7-homers for the Houston Astros. Still, McCann would be a good add for Atlanta and provide him a chance to play for his home team.

McCann has a World Series ring and the experience of playing on teams with high expectations. Brian would be a perfect platoon option with Tyler Flowers. Adding a bit of lefty power to the lineup, Brian’s numbers would likely bounce back in Atlanta.

He is a career .263 hitter and would be a great fit at the bottom of the lineup or coming off of the bench.

For Atlanta a one-year deal would make sense offering McCann a chance to rehab his value and Atlanta to have very little commitment.

It is time for McCann to come back home to Atlanta and to help add leadership to what is becoming a very young clubhouse.
