Georgia Football solidified their hold on the SEC East for the second straight season with a 34-17 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. These players stood out.

Offensive Dawg of the Day:

D’Andre Swift – Running Back

Sophomore running back D’Andre Swift led the dominant Georgia Football rushing attack, rushing for 156 yards on 16 runs. That’s a phenomenal average of 9.8 yards per carry. Swift carved up the highly touted Wildcats’ defense for first down after first down.

D’Andre Swift dashed for two touchdown runs in the game. Swift’s first touchdown run of the game came with 2:28 left in the first half. It was second and 17 from the 20 yard line, Swift received the shotgun handoff from Jake Fromm, ran right, and cut back up the middle, shooting into the end zone for the touchdown and giving the Dawgs a 14-3 lead.

Swift struck again with almost eight minutes to go in quarter number three. This time the Dawgs were under center in a single-back formation. Swift took the hand off, ran up the middle, hesitated to give his blockers a chance to engage, and turned on the Jets.

Swift took the play 83 yards to give the Bulldogs a commanding 28-3 lead. Georgia called the perfect run against Kentucky’s defensive call. The Dawgs caught the Wildcats in a run blitz. Because the offensive line did a fantastic job picking up the blitz, there was no one there to stop Swift once he made it through the initial blue wave.

Besides his dominant performance on the ground, Swift added three catches for 18 yards through the air.

Pro Football Focus grades every play of the top college games. They gave D’Andre Swift a grade of 74.8.(out of 99.9) For the great day ATL All Day gives Swift a Dog Bone and names him our Offensive Dawg of the Day.
