Georgia Football: Dog Bones Awarded Vs Kentucky
Elijah Holyfield – Running Back
If D’Andre Swift is lightning, then Elijah Holyfield is certainly thunder. Holyfield did the bulk of his work between the tackles, carrying the rock a team high 18 times for UGA. The result was a career-high 115 yards and a touchdown, for the team’s power back. That’s a 6.4 yards per carry average.
Elijah, the son of former heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield, scored his touchdown on a four yard shotgun run in the third quarter. The score gave the Dawgs a 21-3 lead. Holyfield’s most explosive run was a 30 yard scamper, on the same third quarter drive that he scored a touchdown on.
Elijah Holyfield made the tough yards for the Dawgs and helped Georgia Football move the chains all evening long. He was also very good in pass protection. Pro Football Focus gave Elijah the highest grade on the Georgia offense, a grade of 78.0. We at ATL All Day award him with a Dog Bone.
