Defensive Dawg of the Day:

Jonathan Ledbetter – Defensive End

The Georgia Bulldogs defense dominated in every facet that a defense can. The Dawgs shut down SEC leading rusher Benny Snell Jr. and sacked Kentucky quarterback Terry Wilson four times.

Defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter was the leader for on the dominant Dawgs defense against Kentucky. He was a disruptive force, that was able to shed blocks in the running and passing game.

Jonathan Ledbetter had six tackles on the afternoon, good for second on the UGA defense. He also had one of the four Georgia sacks. He had two tackles for a loss. He also forced a fumble on running back Asim Rose on Kentucky’s last drive, effectively ending the ballgame.

Pro Football Focus gave Jonathan Ledbetter a game-high grade of 87.2 for his dominant performance. In fact Ledbetter arguably had the best game of his career. He is a major reason the Dawgs are heading back to Atlanta for the SEC title game. ATL All Day names him our Defensive Dawg of the Day, and gives him a well deserved Dawg Bone.
